Marry in Manosque
Couples wishing to marry in Manosque must meet certain conditions.
Future spouses must be of age, and their decision to marry must be informed and free of consent. For a marriage to be celebrated in Manosque, at least one of the future spouses must be resident of the town, or one of their parents (father or mother).
Marriage application
A marriage application must be lodged at Manosque’s civil registry office. The future spouses must provide the following supporting documents:
- proof of identity (original + copy),
- recent proof of address,
- information regarding the witnesses (surnames, first names, date and place of birth, profession and address, copies of proof of identity),
- a full copy of birth certificate issued within less than 3 months, if the issuing department is in France,
- a full copy of birth certificate issued within less than 6 months, if the issuing department is abroad.
When the marriage application has been lodged, an interview will be organised with a civil registry official and the couple. The official can meet the future spouses separately. The date of the ceremony is set in consultation with the town hall.
